IBRS 2026

3nd International Business Research Symposium

Theme 2026: Research in the age of AI

This theme examines how artificial intelligence is reshaping the questions we ask, the methods we use, and the impact we generate in business research. It invites scholars across disciplines to critically engage with AI not only as a research subject, but as a research tool and institutional force transforming data, theory development, experimentation, and decision-making. The theme also foregrounds practice-based and industry-engaged research, recognizing that AI’s most immediate implications are unfolding within firms, markets, supply chains, financial systems, and entrepreneurial ecosystems.

“Research in the Age of AI” emphasizes:

  • The integration of AI and advanced analytics into disciplinary inquiry
  • Methodological innovation enabled by large-scale data and automation
  • Practice-based research that translates AI capabilities into real organizational contexts
  • Ethical, governance, and transparency considerations in AI-driven research
  • The changing nature of expertise, productivity, and collaboration in academia
  • The implications of AI for markets, organizations, finance, operations, and sustainable development

Across tracks—from Economics and Finance to Information Systems, Marketing, Management, and SDGs—the theme encourages rigorous, forward-looking scholarship that addresses both the opportunities and risks AI introduces into business, institutions, and society.
